Adobe to open-source Flash tool Flex

News.com reports that Adobe is planning to open-source the Flash tool Flex next Wednesday.
Just like the ActionScript virtual machine, Flex will be released under the Mozilla Public License. Are my predictions comming true? Is this the start of open-source Flash?

Vista’s heuristic software detection

There’s a great article over at The Register about Vista’s advanced heuristic detection.
Apparently Vista checks whether or not a program needs admin rights to run by checking its filename…. Yeah that scared me too. To quote Microsoft:

Apple preparing Leopard for the battle of the titans

Apple has delayed the next Mac OSX release ‘Leopard’ until October 2007, instead of releasing at the WWDC in June.
According to the official statement by Apple, rushing out the iPhone required some borrowing some key engineers from the Mac OSX team and as a result Leopard won’t be finished in time.
