Ubuntu for Mobile Internet Devices

Canonical has announced more details about it’s upcoming Ubuntu version for Mobile Internet Devices.
The first version of Ubuntu Mobile and Embedded Edition will be released in October 2007 together with the release of Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon). In 2008, Canonical and Intel will be delivering software on actual devices.
