Firefox usage in Europe up 20%

Firefox usage is rising all over the world. But probably the biggest rise is seen in Europe where Firefox has over 28% of the market, that is the conclusion of internet monitor XiTi.

French police switches to Ubuntu

According to this article on Google News the French Paramilitary Police Force (yeah that name is freaky!) is going to switch it’s 70.000 desktop computers over to Ubuntu.
Currently they are running Windows XP but they plan on changing to Ubuntu Linux every time they replace a workstation.

Nokia to acquire Trolltech

Microsoft supports OpenID in it’s Cardspace initiative
