Integrating rrdtool into GPB Backup

I spent most of my time this morning integrating rrdtool into GPB Backup, the open source backup solution I’m developing.

rsync powered backups operational!

After more tweaking and fine tuning my rsync powered backups are operational! The old Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 has been replaced by Ubuntu Server and all is well again

Fixing neglected servers

I’ve been working the past two days on fixing two neglected servers at my job. The servers are part of our backup solution and are ‘maintained’ by an external company which we’ll call Company C. Read on for a rant about server maintenance and a company that thinks I’m an idiot they can mess with.
